Ezi-Estimates

Ezi-Estimates and rankings are based on approximations for your age group, car and suburb.

The Ezi-Estimates are based on a male driver with maximum no claim bonus, a similar vehicle with no modifications or damage, that is garaged in a similar suburb to yours. The vehicle has no finance attached and each insurer’s standard excess and market value applies. The driver has a clean driving record and no claims history and is using the vehicle for private use only. Depending on the insurer, further discounts may apply which need to be confirmed with the specific insurer.

Cover Rating

We have analysed each insurers Product Disclosure Statement (PDS-as of June 2011) and rated the policy features as to what we believe to be important in a car insurance policy. We have given each feature a weighting as not all features are of the same importance when choosing a policy in our opinion. We also took into account how easy each insurers PDS was to understand.

We have then applied a STAR Rating from 5 STARS being the best Cover Rating down to 1 STAR being the least Cover Rating. You can click on the rating in our league table to get further details on what is covered by each insurer.

We believe this analysis will give you a guide as to the level of cover provided by each Insurer, but you should read the PDS when choosing your car insurance provider to ensure you understand what you are covered for and more importantly what you are not covered for.
